AOF Oilfield Automation LLC. has an excellent opportunity for highly motivated and growth oriented Automation Technicians & Electricians to contribute to our West Texas Operations teams. This position will support multiple operating facilities and report to our Measurement/Automation Manager. The successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring all instrument and electrical equipment is performing to its maximum potential.


  • Installation, Configuration, Calibration, Troubleshooting, & Repair of wellhead, SWD and/or plant automation, electrical and measurement equipment. Write work orders when/as needed.

  • Assist in developing and maintaining a maintenance schedule on all automated devices. Projects include well-pad installations, commissioning, maintenance, trouble-shooting, compressor stations, salt-water disposals (SWD's), plants, and programming. We are looking for a candidate that wants to grow and advance within our business.

  • Maintain all documentation records.

  • Assure that regulatory and environmental compliances are upheld.

  • Follow and lead by example all of AOFA safety policies and procedures.

  • Available for on-call schedule rotation.

  • I & E will perform all assigned tasks while demonstrating safe work practices, adhering to all forms and guidelines. Incumbent shall strictly following all applicable Federal, State, County and local laws, statutes and standards.

  • Position incumbent shall also attend safety meetings, safety stand downs, offered safety training and appropriate skills training and development classes. He/she shall develop an annual performance contract that embeds these principles and practices into a yearly work plan as a high expectation of achievements.


  • Minimum of three years' experience with natural gas and associated liquids production practices (flow measurement, tank gauging, and recordkeeping).

  • 5+ years' experience in automation / electric installation and maintenance of RTU's, EFM's, VFD's (ROC 107, 800, ABB TotalFlow, Bristol, Kimray)- PLC Programming (Idec, ScadaPack, Allen Bradley)

  • HMI Development and Programming

  • Communication protocols & radio communications (Freewave, MDS)

  • Networking TCP/IP

  • Instrumentation Calibrations

  • Oleumtech, Accutech, and Rosemount Wireless Instrumentation systems

  • Solar Powered Systems

  • Ability to interpret electrical and Process and Instrumentation Drawings (P&ID's)
    Modbus protocol language

  • Knowledge of gas chromatographs and gas/liquid analyzers

  • A demonstrative ability to work unsupervised and independently and yet in a collaborative atmosphere

  • Must be a team player and possess ability to work cooperatively with others.

  • Position requires working in all different types of weather and environmental related conditions

  • Must be able to lift 75lbs.

  • Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Good driving record and a current driver's license.

  • Knowledge in the use of MS Office Systems: Outlook, Word, Excel.

  • High School Diploma or GED

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
